Highlights

Time-scheduled permissions

For each user, which door and within which days and hours is defined — and later changed from a single screen.

Release on fire alarm

Turnstiles and doors must release on a fire alarm; the installation includes that interlock.

Payroll-exportable records

Staff entry-exit records are kept in reportable form and can be exported to payroll systems.

Access control turns the question "who may go where" from a door lock into a manageable rule. When a key is lost, the lock must be changed; when a card is lost, cancelling the card is enough.

Authentication method

Cards and fobs are the most common: fast, and easy to manage as headcount grows. PIN codes require no extra hardware but can be shared, so they are rarely used alone in high-security areas. Fingerprint and face recognition prevent a card from being passed on; they come to the fore where the accuracy of attendance tracking matters. High-security doors may require two methods together — card plus PIN, for example.

Rights and time schedules

For each user, which door, on which days and within which hours, is defined. Contractor staff may pass only during working hours and only into the relevant section; the technical team may reach the plant room including weekends. These definitions can later be changed from a single screen.

Turnstiles and barriers

Waist-height turnstiles are standard at office and factory entrances. Full-height turnstiles are used where staff pass unsupervised. Car park barriers are installed to open by card or by plate recognition; plate recognition noticeably shortens passage time at sites with heavy visitor traffic.

Throughput matters when selecting turnstiles: if 200 people must pass in ten minutes at shift change, capacity is calculated accordingly.

Reporting and fire integration

Staff entry-exit records are kept in a reportable form and can be exported to payroll systems. In case of a fire alarm, turnstiles and doors must be released; the installation includes that interlock.

Personal data

Access control systems process personal data by their nature. During installation we brief you on retention periods, access authorisation and your duty to inform employees.
