Highlights
Independent zones
Sections such as warehouse and office can be armed separately; zone boundaries follow how the site operates.
Mobile alert or monitoring centre
The panel is configured either to notify your phone directly or to connect to a monitoring centre.
False alarm prevention
Detectors are placed with heat sources and air-conditioning airflow in mind; sensitivity is tuned during the trial period.
An alarm system earns its deterrent value by reporting an event in time. Where the panel sits, which zones are defined separately, and how the alert reaches whom, matter as much as the installation itself.
Zone planning
The site is divided into zones that can be armed and disarmed independently. The warehouse can stay fully protected at night while the office section remains open during working hours. The number and boundaries of zones are set during the survey, according to how the site operates.
Choosing detectors
PIR motion detectors sense movement indoors; pet-immune models are used where animals are present. Magnetic contacts report doors and windows being opened. Glass-break detectors suit shop windows and large glazed façades. Where the perimeter must be protected, outdoor detectors and beam sensors are evaluated.
Alerting
The panel can be configured two ways: to send mobile notifications directly, or to connect to a monitoring centre. Mobile notification is usually enough for small and medium businesses; a monitoring centre connection is preferred where human response is required. Indoor and outdoor sirens are planned together with a battery that keeps working during a power cut.
False alarms
False alarms are the fastest way for a system to lose trust. Detector placement takes account of heat sources, air-conditioning airflow and moving objects; sensitivity settings are reviewed together during the trial period after installation.
After installation
Periodic maintenance covers battery measurement, detector testing, siren checks and panel firmware updates. Battery life is, in most facilities, the first thing that silently disables a system; regular measurement prevents that.
